Please note : Hypnosis New Zealand does not allow, condone, or support 'Conversion Therapy' or any other therapy which aims to proactively change a person's Gender Identity, Gender expression or sexual orientation. Responsibility to the Client
Hypnotherapist shall consider the health and well-being of the client as top priority.
Hypnotherapist shall promote client autonomy, rights and freedom of choice.
Hypnotherapist shall respect the right of the client to choose their own goals and outcomes as long as it does not cause harm to self or others.
Hypnotherapist shall take all reasonable care to ensure the physical safety of the client.
Hypnotherapists shall always maintain strict confidentiality within the Therapist/Client relationship, as required to divulge that information by law, or when any person may be at risk in any way.
Hypnotherapist shall not cross any professional or moral boundaries that will exploit the client in anyway including: physically, sexually, financially or emotionally.
Hypnotherapist shall not discriminate based on sex, age, race, ethnicity, sexual preference, religion, disabilities, socioeconomic or any other factors prescribed by law.
Hypnotherapist shall provide informed consent prior to the start of treatment.
Hypnotherapist shall not work outside their scope of practice and must refer clients to the appropriate qualified health care professionals when necessary.
General Conduct:
Hypnotherapist must conduct business in a responsible, respectful and professional manner.
Hypnotherapist must provide and maintain a safe and hygienic premises of practice.
Hypnotherapist will not offer any guarantee as to the effectiveness or outcome of any treatment.
Hypnotherapist must always practice techniques and procedures in accordance with appropriate training and experience.
Hypnotherapists will ensure his/her own professional development by undertaking regular on-going training.
Hypnotherapist must fully disclose all fees for services to clients prior to carrying out those services.
Hypnotherapist shall represent their education honestly and display appropriate certificates/qualifications in a prominent position for public viewing.
Hypnotherapist shall not diagnose any medical conditions both mental or physical.
Hypnotherapist shall not conduct a Hypnotherapy session under the influence of Alcohol or Recreational Drugs.
Hypnotherapist shall not interfere with any on going treatments the client is already receiving from medical
professionals.
